Soliloquy

Finding objects discarded, offer contemplation and are always things I find inspiration from. Images can happen anywhere-you just have to act with intention!

caught off guard

Posted by Picasa
The first image I shot of this series. Why I like for things to have a "not everything is as it appears" quality, I think may be an attempt to speak of the human condition. At least speaking from my inward reflection, the only way I know how to articulate that place that is - through images.

out of bounds

I am so glad that I have found a new way to "see" again (maybe the right word is "look"), it is really so refreshing and inspiring. These evening garden/yard pictures are really studies, for when I shoot similar ones in large format.

night time curiosities

Seeing things in new ways becomes even more challenging, yet more rewarding in the same breath! (when you have lived in the same town for 28 + years) Oddly enough I feel even more a sense of gratification when I produce an image that to me is even unfamiliar. It also gives me the sense of intention and desire that I thrive on!

Dragging One's Heals

This is obviously meant to be a pun, but why the image came to me I'm not really sure. This image to me is the most successful. It is a powerful image in it's narration as well as it's more formal qualities. I do wish for comments on this one if anyone has them.

Looking Back

My only self-portrait of the series thus far.

Almost There

I hope to instill a sense of intrigue within the viewer.
By capturing what could be read as a negative situation and giving the sense of a more hopeful or ethereal presence is hard to do, but I strive to keep making sense the only way I know how, by image-making!
